I finally stopped using a straightedge for big slab pours

For 20 years I screeded everything with a magnesium straightedge and a level head. About 4 months ago I rented a laser screed for a 40,000 sq ft warehouse job in Tulsa, and now I can't imagine going back for anything wider than 12 feet. Has anyone else had to recalibrate their crew's finishing timing after switching to laser screeds?
