Found out concrete dust might be messing with my blood pressure reading

Was at my physical last week in Phoenix and the nurse took my BP and got this shocked look. Said it was 145 over 95 which is way high for me. I told her I'd been pouring a slab all morning in the dust and she said hold on. Turns out there's some studies showing silica dust exposure can temporarily spike your blood pressure from the inflammation response. She had me sit in a clean room for 15 minutes and retook it and it dropped to 122 over 78. Wild. I always knew silica was bad for your lungs but nobody ever mentioned it could mess with your BP readings. Anyone else's doctor ever flag this or know more about it?

Wow, that is wild how something so common like concrete dust can mess with your numbers like that! It makes me wonder what other everyday things we all walk past that are secretly messing with our health, like cleaning supplies or even the air from a gas stove. Crazy how you can be totally healthy and then one simple thing throws your whole reading off.
