Appreciation post: the finisher at the Cedar Rapids pour who told me to slow down on the burn float
Was finishing a 30x40 shop slab outside Cedar Rapids last week and a guy from the other crew watched me hit the power trowel early. He said, "You're floating out the cream before the bleed water's gone. Give it 20 more minutes." I did, and the slab came out with zero delamination and a way cleaner finish. Tbh I've been rushing that step for a while now. Anyone got a rule of thumb for reading bleed water on a hot windy day?
