The stat that finally made me label every cable in my van, after 12 years of digging
I was reading a repair log from a shop in Ohio and it said the average tech burns about 20 minutes per job just hunting for the right cable. That number hit me hard, since I have been doing this for 12 years and never once kept a label maker in the van. Last Tuesday I spent 25 minutes on a simple monitor swap in a dental office because I grabbed the wrong DisplayPort cable twice. Now every cable in my bins has a piece of tape with the length and type on it. How do you all sort yours, by length or by connector?
