Rant: Who else still misses the days of a paper work order log

I used to swear by having a spiral notebook on my bench. Every single job got a line, the customer name, the issue, what I did, parts used, and what I charged. Looked like a madman's diary after a month but I could find any repair from 3 years ago in under a minute. Then last November I switched over to a digital ticketing system because my partner kept complaining about my handwriting. Took me a solid week to get used to it. But yesterday I needed to pull up a job from March and I just typed in the serial number, boom there it was. No flipping through pages of coffee stains. The old notebook still sits on my shelf, mostly for show now. Anyone else take forever to ditch paper for software? What finally made you switch?
