My worst day this year was fixing a water-damaged gaming PC from a flooded basement in Dayton
The guy brought in a custom rig that had been sitting in two inches of water for a week. I spent six hours just cleaning mineral deposits off the motherboard with isopropyl, and the GPU was a total loss. Has anyone else had a system that was surprisingly salvageable after something like that?

Just spent a weekend trying to revive a laptop my kid baptized with a full glass of chocolate milk. The keyboard turned into a sticky science project but somehow the thing still boots. Makes me feel like a tech wizard when the bar is literally on the floor.

Tech wizard with the bar on the floor" is the realest thing I've read all week. I used to get so mad when my stuff got messed up, but @oscarmurray you're right. After I saved a phone from a toilet drop by just leaving it in rice for three days, I felt like a genius. It's all about those weird little wins.
