Warning: my cordless drill's battery died halfway through a project, but borrowing one from the tool library saved me from buying a whole second drill just for the backup.
I compared buying a duplicate tool for backup versus just using our neighborhood's shared library, and the library saved me $120 and a ton of shelf space lol, has anyone else found the library better for those 'just in case' tools?

Oh man, my neighbor had the exact same thing happen with a pressure washer last summer. His broke right before he was going to clean his deck, and the library one got the job done for free. He said it saved him from a super frustrating trip to the store.

My cousin in Austin tried to check out a pressure washer from their library last month and it was booked solid for three weeks. Did your neighbor have to wait long to get it, or was it just sitting there ready to go? I'm always worried those popular tools will be impossible to grab when you actually need them. It's cool it worked out for him though.
