Tool library saw blade count was way off
I started cataloging our community tool library's inventory last weekend. Found out we only have 12 usable circular saw blades for 8 saws. County website says we should have at least 2 per tool. How do you all track blade wear and replacements?

Easy fix, we tape a blade count chart right on each saw case.

That thing about the blade count chart reminds me of something bigger I've noticed. Seems like everything we buy now should come with its own quick reference guide because stuff just keeps getting more complicated. You look at a typical circular saw blade and the numbers are all over the place, 24 teeth for rough cuts, 60 for finish work, plus the arbor size and the kerf width. It's like we're expected to be experts on every little thing we own, from the settings on our thermostat to the timing belt on our car. A simple cheat sheet taped right on the saw case would save a lot of head scratching, I bet.
