Someone at our tool library said my drill bits were dull and it made a big difference
I was borrowing a drill from our local library last month and a volunteer, Frank, saw me struggling. He said, 'Those bits are so dull they're just making heat, not holes.' I felt a bit silly, but I took them to the sharpening station he showed me. Now I always check and sharpen bits before I take them out, and it's way faster. How do you all handle tool upkeep at your spot?

Ha, my bits were so dull they'd polish wood.

Nah, that's a solid skill. Dull bits are way safer. Less chance of a nasty kickback.
