Serious question, did your library's tool sign-out used to be a paper notebook too?
When our Boise tool shed opened in 2016, we tracked every drill and ladder in a spiral notebook, and half the pages ended up smudged or lost by spring. Now everything runs through an app on a tablet mounted by the door, and checkout takes maybe 20 seconds. That switch happened about 3 years back, mainly because a volunteer named Ray got tired of chasing down a missing circular saw for 6 weeks. So what is everybody using these days, and does the app version actually get your stuff back faster?
