PSA: A buddy told me my 2 drill bits were the reason I burned out my project, so I checked my community shed
Last Thursday my neighbor Dave came over while I was trying to build a simple planter box and he just stared at the drill bits I grabbed from the shed. He said the set hadn't been sharpened since 2018 and that half the reason I was fighting the wood was because I was pressing down way too hard on dull bits. Now I'm wondering if our little sharing group should do a monthly sharpening day or just replace the worst stuff, what do you all do for keeping bits and blades in decent shape?
