Pro tip: our tool library's lawn aerator broke down and took three weeks to fix
I borrowed the core aerator from our library in July to do my yard, and the handle snapped clean off on the third pass. Took me three weeks of back-and-forth with the volunteer repair guy before I could use it again. Has anyone else dealt with a critical tool being down for way longer than it should have been?

Did your friend ever try to use the tool library after hours? My buddy Tom borrowed their hedge trimmer last spring, and the blade guard just fell off mid trim. He spent the whole summer waiting for a replacement part that the guy in charge kept saying was "in the mail." By the time it showed up in September, his hedges looked like a monster from a horror movie. He just bought his own trimmer at a garage sale and never went back to the library.

To be fair though, if the guy was trying to fix it for free instead of making Tom buy a new part, that's kinda solid customer service even if it took forever. lmao sometimes you gotta appreciate the effort even if the execution was a total mess.
