Our little tool library hit 500 checkouts last Saturday and I still can't get over it.

We started with just a hammer, a saw, and a drill three years ago in the basement of the old Methodist church on Elm Street, and seeing the numbers climb makes me think we really are helping people fix things instead of tossing them.

3 years is wild growth for a basement setup. 500 checkouts means people really needed those tools. It proves that tiny projects can actually make a difference in a neighborhood. Keep adding to the collection, that momentum is real.

What kind of tools are people checking out the most - basic stuff like drills and saws or more specialized gear? I'm curious if theres a pattern in what neighbors actually borrow versus what sits on the shelf. That would help anyone starting a similar project know where to put their money first.
