I tracked every tool I borrowed this year and hit 47 uses

I started a log just out of curiosity in January and yesterday I counted 47 different borrows from our local tool library. Has anyone else hit a number that caught them off guard?

47 borrows, huh? That's a solid number, but I gotta ask - did you actually use all of them or did some just sit around gathering dust? Because I borrowed a power washer once from my neighbor and it stayed in my garage for three months before I finally got around to using it. Point is, borrowing is great until you realize you've been holding onto someone else's stuff longer than they probably wanted you to. But hey, a tool library is a whole different thing since it's not some random person you have to awkwardly avoid on the street. So maybe that number is actually impressive if you really got through all that work.

Did your friend ever mention how long they actually held onto borrowed stuff? Honestly, my buddy Tom borrowed a pressure washer from a guy at work and it sat in his garage for six months before he even took the plastic wrap off. He felt so bad about it that he ended up buying the guy lunch just to break the awkward silence when he finally returned it.
