I thought our local tool library would just be a bunch of broken stuff

When the one opened in my town, I figured it would be full of old, beat-up tools nobody wanted. I needed a floor sander for a weekend project and decided to try it anyway. The sander was a newer model, clean, and worked perfectly, saving me over $200 in rental fees. It completely changed my mind about the whole idea. Has anyone else had a specific tool from a library that was way better than you expected?

New nozzles still in the package? That's wild, they must actually take care of their stuff. My local hardware store rents out beaters where half the attachments are missing. Makes the whole library thing seem legit.

Yeah, I borrowed a power washer from ours last spring and it was the same deal. It was one of those newer electric ones, not some rusty gas model, and it had all the different nozzles still in the package. Got my whole deck and siding cleaned for just the membership fee.
