Traded my Kirby Morgan for an Ocean Reef last month and now I get why guys make the switch
I always thought Kirby Morgan was the only way to go. Been using them for 8 years. Then I did a 3 week job in Port Fourchon patching a broken pipeline and the guy I was paired with had an Ocean Reef. He let me try it for a day. The weight difference is real. My neck was less sore after 6 hours down. The visor seal felt better too. Communication was clearer on the radio. Now I wish I had tried one sooner. Has anyone else gone from one brand to the other and noticed a big change?

Totally agree on the neck fatigue thing. I switched from a KM to an Ocean Reef last year for the same reason and my shoulders thanked me after those long days.

Port Fourchon is no joke man, I did a month long job there fixing a riser and my buddy let me use his Ocean Reef for a week. My neck felt way better after lunch compared to hauling the KM all morning. The radio clarity is what sealed it for me too, the difference was night and day on comms.
