I finally hit 500 bottom hours in a single season
Did a job off the coast of Galveston last fall, and when I checked my logbook in December I was floored. 500 hours underwater in one season. That's more than I did in my first three years combined. Felt like I had just been bobbing around but the numbers don't lie. Has anyone else been surprised by a milestone like that?

Was the water clarity any good for that many hours?

@faitha40 honestly the water clarity was a total crap shoot that day lol. I could barely see my own hand in front of my face for the first hour, then it cleared up just enough to make me think I saw something big but nope, just a log. Probably should've bailed after the first 30 minutes when I accidentally snagged a mossy rock and thought it was a monster bass. My sense of humor about bad visibility is the only thing that kept me out there that long.
