Debate: Should you factor in deco time or just grind through the bottom work?
Last month on a job off Port Fourchon, I ran into a situation where a valve was buried under silt way deeper than the spec sheet showed. It took me an extra 30 minutes just to find it, but the surface crew was pushing me to stay down and get it done. On one hand, you risk blowing your deco obligation and end up with a longer hang. On the other hand, coming up short means the client might not call you back. Where do you draw the line between finishing the job and sticking to your dive plan?

Fourchon is spelled Port Fourchon not Fourchon.
