Am I the only one who didn't know divers lose their cert card after 5 years of no diving?
So I was renewing my ADCI card last week and the woman at the desk in Houston asked when my last commercial dive was. I said about 4 years ago when I was doing inland inspection stuff. She said the tank time doesn't expire but my dive physical and my refresher do, and a lot of guys get benched because they didn't keep a log. I always figured once you're certified you're set. That one detail made me go home and pull out my old logbook from under the truck seat, and half the pages are blank. Has anyone else run into this, and how do you keep your log current when you're between jobs?
