A deckhand's question made me rethink my whole dive log system

Last week, this kid on the boat in Galveston asked why I still use paper dive logs when my computer tracks everything. I got defensive at first, but then he showed me his spreadsheet with gas mixes, bottom times, and even water temp trends. I mean, my paper logs have 14 years of dives but I never actually look back at them for anything useful. Now I'm scanning old pages and trying to build a simple tracker, but I'm curious how everyone else stays organized. You guys keep digital records or are some of us still stuck in the paper era?
