Wasted $150 on a coding bootcamp prep course and learned nothing new

I paid $150 for a 'master Python basics' course on Udemy thinking it would fast-track me, but it was just the same free YouTube tutorials repackaged. The instructor spent half the time reading slides word-for-word. Has anyone else found a good alternative that's actually worth paying for?

You ever notice how everything these days is just recycled garbage sold as new? It's like the whole economy figured out they can take free stuff, put a price tag on it, and call it a premium product. I see it everywhere, not just in coding courses. People pay for meal kits that are just grocery store recipes in a box or buy 'exclusive' newsletters that just repost tweets. The whole system is built on convincing you that paying for something makes it better when half the time it's just the same content with better marketing. If you really want to learn, stick to the free YouTube playlists and practice building actual projects. That $150 would've been better spent on a month of hosting a real website where you could break stuff and fix it yourself.

Why didn't you just refund it? Udemy has that 30 day policy and false advertising is basically their whole business model. Next time skip the courses entirely and just build something small like a calculator or a to-do app so you actually learn by doing.
