Update: I thought those 'learn to code in 30 days' promises were total garbage, then freeCodeCamp got me past my wall
I spent about 8 months hopping between YouTube videos and never finishing anything, so by March I was sure the whole "learn to code fast" thing was a lie. A buddy at my warehouse job in Dayton kept pushing freeCodeCamp at me and I finally tried the responsive web design cert on a whim. The first 60 hours were rough and I quit once around the CSS grid section. But I stuck with it for 9 weeks and actually shipped a little recipe page that my sister now uses. Honestly having the projects graded and the little certificate at the end was what kept me going, not the speed. Anyone else find that the free structured stuff beat the paid bootcamp ads for them too?
