Showerthought: my nephew asked why I still type out every bracket by hand, and I didn't have a good answer
He's 14 and already writing little games, and when he watched me code he said 'you know the editor closes those for you, right?' I've been doing it the hard way since a class in 2011 where the teacher docked points for auto-complete, and it hit me that I've been typing extra keystrokes for 12 years out of pure habit. Do any other self taught folks catch themselves doing stuff the slow way just because that's how you learned it?
