My buddy in the Navy made me question my VS Code setup
We were catching up last Friday and he showed me how he scripts everything with just vim and a terminal, no extensions, nothing fancy, and I felt kind of silly staring at my 40 plugins. He said it's about knowing your tools instead of collecting them, and it hit different because he writes mission-critical stuff with way less overhead than my beginner projects. Anyone else try stripping down their editor after a convo like this, or am I overthinking my whole learning path?

The "knowing your tools instead of collecting them" thing really got me. I once spent a whole weekend messing with my terminal theme and fonts, then realized I'd forgotten how to actually use git properly. Ended up asking my buddy to walk me through basics again.
