Found out it takes 21 days to build a habit, but I did it in 15

I was stuck on a tutorial loop for weeks, just watching videos without touching the keyboard. Then I read on the r/learnprogramming wiki that spaced repetition beats binge coding, and it mentioned a 21 day average for habit formation. I decided to write 30 minutes of Python every day at 6am before work, no exceptions. Got to day 15 and realized I was reaching for my laptop before my coffee, so the consistency thing really works. Has anyone else found a weird number that pushed them to stick with a routine?

Took your 15 day thing and figured out the real trick is lying to yourself about the deadline. I told myself I'd quit at 21 days if I hated it, but by day 10 I was already hooked, so now I'm just stuck here writing code at 5am like a weirdo.
