Went from eyeballing tool offsets to using a presetter after 5 years of guessing

Used to slap tools in and wing it with a test cut, always figuring I'd dial it in on the fly. Then I spent $150 on a used presetter from a shop in Detroit last month and cut my setup time by half on the first job. Anyone else still running blind or am I the last guy to catch up?

Slower than just touching off by ear" - man, that's insane. A presetter saves way more time than guessing.

My old shop had a presetter gathering dust in the corner that nobody touched. Half the guys said it was slower than just touching off by ear.
