Vent: That one week last month where everything that could go wrong did

We had a job running for a local shop in Phoenix, about 400 parts, and the first 50 were fine. Then the coolant pump died on Tuesday morning, and I spent 3 hours rigging a backup line. Wednesday the main spindle started making this grinding noise after lunch, and we lost another half day waiting for maintenance. By Thursday I was ready to walk out when one of the operators broke off a tap in a part that had already been through heat treat. We shipped the whole order 2 days late and lost the repeat contract. Has anyone else had a week where it just felt like the machines were fighting you? Cause I was this close to throwing my calipers at the wall.

You ever had a friend's printer just completely lose its mind at the worst possible time? My buddy Tom was trying to print out his plane tickets for a trip he'd been saving for like a year, and the thing starts flashing some weird error code he'd never seen before. He spent an hour on hold with customer service, and they told him to unplug it and plug it back in. It worked for like two minutes, then just went back to flashing that same error. He ended up having to drive to the airport early and use the kiosk, but he was so stressed he almost missed his flight anyway.
