Vent: People keep ignoring the coolant concentration ratio on our Haas mills

I found out our scrap rate jumped 15% last month because guys were just topping off the tank with water, which ruined tool life and surface finish. How do you enforce the mix check without babysitting everyone?

Our shop uses those cheap refractometers from Amazon for checking.

The 15% scrap jump is the shop's official way of saying "congrats on the new water feature." I've seen guys treat the coolant tank like a houseplant, just giving it a splash whenever it looks sad. Maybe we should just switch to making decorative ice sculptures.
