That time a coolant line blew on a Friday afternoon run

I was running a long cycle on a VF-2 at the shop in Toledo when a main coolant line split, spraying everything. I shut it down, cleaned the mess with rags, and used a hose clamp from the maintenance cart as a quick fix to finish the job. What's your go-to move for a sudden coolant leak when you can't stop production?

Man, that reminds me of my buddy's story. He had a big lathe start pissing coolant right before a deadline. He grabbed a roll of that heavy duty silicone tape from the supply closet, the kind that fuses to itself. Wrapped it tight around the split hose like ten times. He said it held for the whole weekend shift until the new line came in. That stuff saved his skin. I keep a roll in my box now just in case.

How many times has duct tape saved my dumb butt?
