That one comment about my tool offsets stuck with me for weeks

Some guy on here said my part tolerance issues were probably from me not checking my offsets after every warmup. I always thought it was a tool wear thing, but sure enough my zero point was drifting after the machine sat overnight. Spent 2 hours one Saturday just logging the numbers before and after warmup, and the shift was almost 3 thousandths every time. Who else has had a stupid simple fix like that mess with their head for weeks after someone pointed it out?
