Old school G-code vs conversational programming

I learned on machines where you typed every line of G-code by hand. No CAM software, no conversational. Just a keyboard and a monitor. Spent 15 minutes figuring out a simple arc move sometimes. Then I got a job at a shop in Detroit that ran Mazaks with Mazatrol. Conversational programming changed everything. I could set up a part in 5 minutes instead of 45. The older guys called it cheating. I call it not wasting my day. Anyone else make the switch and never look back?

You're acting like it's some big life decision or something.

Honestly, people treat picking a sandwich like it's choosing a college.
