My coolant pump seized up right in the middle of a big aluminum run
It happened yesterday afternoon, just as I was about to start the last batch of 50 parts. The motor made this awful grinding noise and then nothing. I had to shut everything down, pull the pump, and clean out a bunch of gunk that had built up in the impeller housing. Anyone have a good method for keeping those small sump pumps clear without taking them apart every month?

That "awful grinding noise" is just the sound of small problems we ignore turning into big ones, isn't it? Happens with everything from cars to relationships.
