I used to think a 2-flute endmill was fine for everything, but this aluminum job changed my mind
I was running a big batch of 6061 parts at the shop last week and kept getting chatter with my usual 2-flute. Switched to a 3-flute from Helical and the finish was night and day, plus I could push the feed rate up by 15%. What other materials have you guys found work better with more flutes?

Two flutes still work fine for me on most aluminum jobs.
