I finally stopped fighting with my tool offsets after 8 years
I used to manually type in every tool offset at the start of each job, double checking each number twice. Last month I started using a probe to set them automatically and my setup time dropped from 20 minutes to about 4. Has anyone else made this switch and found it helps with repeat jobs too?

My shop switched to a probe setup about two years ago and I actually went back to manual offsets after 6 months. The probe was fine for roughing but I found it introduced small errors on tight tolerance parts, especially after tool wear started. I'd rather spend the extra 15 minutes manually setting offsets and knowing exactly where my tools are.

Probes are honestly overrated for critical work, manual touches just feel more reliable to me too.
