Had a collet nut seize on me mid-run last week
I was cutting some aluminum parts on my Haas and the collet nut just locked up out of nowhere. Had to stop everything and use a torch to get it loose, anyone else run into this with certain coolants?

Man, that's brutal. Nothing kills a vibe faster than a seized collet nut in the middle of a run. I'm kind of surprised you got it off with just a torch honestly, those things can weld themselves on there like crazy. I've been there where you're just sitting there staring at the machine wondering if it's worth just scrapping the whole setup. It's almost like the coolant picks the worst times to turn into concrete. Hope it didn't mess up your spindle or anything, that's the real nightmare.
