Appreciation post: That weird trick for chatter on thin walls actually worked
I was cutting some aluminum parts with a 0.08 inch wall and getting bad chatter no matter my speeds, so I tried ramping the spindle down to 60% right before the finish pass like an old timer in the shop suggested. The finish came out smooth as glass and saved me from scrapping the job. Anyone have other tricks for thin wall stuff?

That spindle trick is wild, I read about using rubber bands as dampeners too.

Ever try changing your tool path order? I had a part where doing the inside pocket before the outside profile cut the chatter in half, something about the leftover material acting like a support rib. Sounds backwards but it worked.
