Tried those DIY beeswax wraps for sandwiches and they got moldy in 4 days

I made a batch of beeswax wraps last month using a recipe from a blog, and they seemed great for wrapping up my lunch sandwiches. But after just 4 days in the fridge, I opened one and there was green mold growing right on the wrap. Has anyone else had this issue with homemade beeswax wraps or did I mess up the coating somehow?

Yep. Pine resin or skip it. Straight beeswax is too brittle for food.

When you say "recipe from a blog" was it one of those with pine resin or just straight beeswax?
