Tried those cloth produce bags for a month and got a weird result

I thought the mesh ones would be fine but the cashier at my local Kroger in Austin kept having trouble scanning stuff through them, so I switched to the solid cloth bags and now my veggies last almost 4 days longer in the fridge. Anyone else find the type of bag actually changes how fast things spoil?

Yeah I had the same thing happen to me. Switched to the solid cotton bags and my lettuce stopped going limp after 2 days. The mesh ones let way too much air circulate and dried everything out fast. Also worth noting the mesh bags let light hit the produce more which can speed up spoiling for stuff like potatoes and onions. I keep my solid bags in a drawer in the kitchen so theyre easy to grab when I head out to the store. Total game changer for reducing food waste around here.

Solid cotton bags saved my lettuce too, same as you @mia442.
