Took me 8 months to fix my leaky faucet (and it was just a washer)

I finally got my kitchen faucet fixed after letting it drip for 8 whole months. It was one of those slow drips that I kept telling myself I'd get to next weekend. Turns out the rubber washer inside was just worn down, cost me $2 at the hardware store downtown. Anyone else put off a simple fix for way too long thinking it would be harder?

Did the drip ever drive you crazy at night, or were you just really good at ignoring it?

Seventy seven cents was what a plumber quoted me just to come out and look at my toilet handle that kept sticking. I let it run for almost a full year before I realized the chain was just two links too long and getting caught on the flapper. What was the moment that finally pushed you to grab that $2 washer and actually open up the faucet instead of just ignoring it another week?
