That one hot week in August broke our community garden
We lost 14 tomato plants and all three raised beds dried out despite watering twice a day... the soil just couldn't hold moisture. Has anyone else seen that kind of sudden heat spike wreck their harvest?

Read about someone switching to drip irrigation and shade cloth after a heatwave wrecked their beds like that.

Man, that's wild you mention that because it's the same story with a lot of things these days. We spend all this time building stuff the old way and then one extreme weather event shows us we gotta adapt or lose everything. It's like @wren_brown said, sometimes you gotta just go with what works now instead of what worked last year.
