Showerthought: the kid at my bus stop asked why I carry a trash bag on walks, and his mom now does it too
I walk the same 6 blocks to the corner store in Akron a few times a week and started bringing a grocery bag to grab litter on the way. A 9 year old at the bus stop asked me what I was doing, so I told him the bottles and cans end up in the creek behind the school. Two weeks later his mom flagged me down and said he made her bring a bag on their Saturday walk, and they filled it before they got to the park. It's small stuff but that creek feeds the river, so it counts. Anyone else get pulled into this by a kid asking one nosy question?
