Just got my first real rain barrel set up after years of meaning to do it
I finally got it connected last Tuesday after putting it off since I moved here in 2019, and I already used 40 gallons of that water on my garden during a dry spell last week. Anyone else find that starting is way harder than actually doing the thing?

I mean, that's the thing about most projects, right? The hardest part is just taking the first step and getting your hands dirty. But now you're hooked - what's the next thing you've been putting off that you're going to tackle? I'm curious if this gave you the momentum to finally fix that leaky faucet or build that raised bed you've been thinking about. For me, once I get one thing done, I'm on a roll, but it never lasts. idk, maybe it's just the way my brain works, but I always crash back into procrastination mode after a week or two.

Oh wow, I used to think I was just stuck in that same cycle honestly! I had this whole theory that I was just a procrastinator by nature and nothing would ever change that. But this project actually flipped a switch for me, I realized I was avoiding starting because I was scared of messing up, not because I was lazy. Now I'm eyeing that ugly old bookshelf in my garage that I've been meaning to sand down and repaint for like two years, feels different this time!
