I used to help my dad fix our old lawn mower every summer, and it felt right.

Now it's cheaper to replace than repair, and that just doesn't sit right with me.

Ugh, it's not just about the stuff breaking. The real loss is that we don't get to learn how things work anymore. That hands-on knowledge just disappears.

My dad's old mower had a manual you could actually understand. Now everything's just made to break so you have to buy a new one. The whole thing feels kinda bleak, what's even the point of owning stuff anymore.
