I swapped my gas mower for an electric one this spring and the difference in noise and fumes was huge.
My old mower would burn through a gallon of gas and leave the whole yard smelling like exhaust, but the new one just needs a charge and I can actually hear the birds while I cut the grass. Anyone else in the suburbs made a switch like this and noticed a real difference?

A gallon of gas for one mow is insane, I can't even imagine that.

My old riding mower with a 42 inch deck used about half a gallon for my full acre. What kind of mower are you picturing that needs a full gallon? I'm trying to figure out if it's a huge property or just a really old, thirsty machine.
