I finally tried those solar-powered outdoor lights I kept ignoring
Bought a $20 set off Amazon 6 months ago for my backyard in Phoenix and honestly thought they'd be dead in a week, but they're still glowing every night after 8 hours of sun. Has anyone else had a cheap solar product actually outlast expectations?

Ngl I had the exact opposite experience with a similar set from Target. They were bright for maybe two weeks then just gave up, even with full Arizona sun every day. I thought solar tech was just not there yet for cheap stuff, but maybe I got a bad batch or something. Tbh I'm kinda surprised yours are still holding up, that's way better than mine did.

Has this happened to anyone else where you buy something cheap and it either works great or totally flops with no in between? I feel like that's the case with a lot of budget stuff now, especially anything with batteries or solar. It's like the quality control is just a coin flip, you either get a keeper or a dud within the first month. Makes you wonder if they're rushing them out the door or just using the cheapest parts they can find. Sucks when you get the bad batch but sometimes it just comes down to luck.
