Honestly, my old commute to the office in Seattle was a huge waste

I used to drive my car 25 miles round trip every single day, no question. After seeing the data on transportation emissions last year, I switched to taking the bus and my partner's electric car. Tbh, it's cut my personal carbon output by a ton and saved me money on gas. Anyone else in a city made a switch like this and found it easier than they thought?

Yeah, the bus pass is a game changer. I got the monthly one and it just auto-renews, so I never even think about it. The real trick was keeping an umbrella and a book in my bag for the longer rides.

Tried biking to work in Portland last summer after my car died. Found out I actually like the exercise and fresh air, even in the rain. Now I only drive when I absolutely have to.
