Heard a debate about carbon capture tech at a Denver climate meetup
One person said direct air capture plants like Orca in Iceland are key to hitting net zero goals. Another argued the high cost, about $600 per ton removed, makes it a distraction from cutting emissions now. I left wondering if big tech fixes can work alongside simple changes like better transit. What do you think is the smarter focus for the next ten years?

Orca's cost made me see we need transit first.

Oh man, I was just reading about how much those fancy new ferries are setting us back. The numbers are crazy. It really does feel like putting that money into buses and trains first would help way more people. Like, fix the stuff we use every day before adding a whole new thing most folks can't afford.
