Finally got my neighborhood's compost bin program off the ground after 6 months of stalled emails

I went door to door last Saturday in the rain because only 3 people had signed up online, and now we have 14 households committed and the city is dropping off the first bin this Thursday - anyone else find that face to face talk works way better than all that online organizing?

Maybe it's just me but door knocking in the rain seems like a lot for a compost bin.
