Vent: my camping mug went from tan to black in 4 years of cowboy coffee
So I have this enamel mug I got at a truck stop outside Flagstaff in 2020, plain cream color, nothing special. Four years of dumping hot cowboy coffee straight from the percolator turned the whole inside brown, and then last spring a campground buddy scrubbed it with steel wool without asking. That took the brown off but left these gray streaks where the enamel got scratched. Now the outside has a faint black ring near the rim from where I always sip, and honestly it bugs me more than the scratches. Do you guys ever try to even out a stain like that, or just let it keep building? Kind of want it to go fully dark on purpose now but not sure cowboy coffee alone will get me there.
