The barista at Java Junction said my mug's crack was why my coffee tasted weird, and she was right
She pointed out that old coffee oils were trapped in the hairline crack near the rim and going rancid, so I started rinsing it with boiling water and baking soda after each use. Two weeks in and my plain drip finally tastes clean again. Anyone else got a fix for a crack that keeps holding onto flavors?
